The joy in being thankful

Days are so stressful and I just want to sleep and forget the loneliness I feel. Too many tragedies. Every day feels like a knife wounding your skin. Trouble hunts me every night. They pile in my mind. They never leave me. I'm in a situation where I don't know what to do but to pray, to talk to Him. Then suddenly, after two consecutive days of worries, Words of Him hit me. 
1 Thessalonians 5:18 - Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
I was reminded that I am forgetting something. I should give thanks. In all things that happened and will happen, I should give thanks, for God is always with me. Christ is in me. It's not easy. I'm the type of person who always worry over things. I'm a person who complains a lot. But God's Word hits my heart like a sword. He is right. He is always right. I should not worry because He is working for the good of those who love Him. He is working in my life. Giving thanks means being brave and having the strength and strong faith to face tomorrow without having doubt that God is almighty and powerful. I should be a strong warrior of Christ but I'm showing the weak side of a warrior. I am a warrior seating in a tent. Waiting for nothing and doing nothing.

 When I've realized the things I need to do, I prayed. I prayed for strength and forgiveness. Then, I felt the joy of His grace. I felt His presence, His love and embrace. My mind changed. There is joy in being thankful. There is joy in the midst of trouble.
