Love in a parallel line

Have you ever experienced love in an extreme and unimaginable way? Have you ever thought of loving someone for the sake of getting back the love you gave? Have you ever encountered an unrequited love?

We meet different people everyday — across the streets, on the bus, in school or in the office. We look at every person’s face and become curious about their lives. And then suddenly, one question struck you —

“Is he the man meant for me or just a person I will love in a parallel line?”

Love is a complex thing God has created. We fall in love over and over again and someone breaks our hearts over and over again. You fall for his smile, his actions and personality. You haven’t realized that you are killing yourself and that you have been deceived by your heart because he is not into you.

The feelings you had and the smile he gave you made you think that he’s the one but no, you’re wrong. He’s there for you but not always and definitely not forever. He is there for you to let you know that there may be a little space between the both of you but love will never make that space thinner.

All of a sudden someone came again and you thought love also came. Another man crossed your path to love you but deep in your heart there’s something wrong. You don’t know what it is but you know there’s a hole in this love so he came but you left.

How funny it is that different kinds of love came but no one stays and how sad it is that the love you had is in a parallel line. Love was there. You saw it but it never came for the both of you. You need to realize that some people come to leave you. You need to realize that they stayed temporarily in your life for you to experience love... even if it’s just for awhile.

And someday, I pray that the love you and God wants will be yours and parallel lines will cross. Someday.
